Devon Landscape Gardeners, Plantation Landscape Gardening offer a wide range of landscape design and gardening services throughout Devon and the South West including Sidmouth, Budleigh, Westhill and Woodbury. Over the years Plantation Landscape Gardening has built an excellent reputation, building up locally in Devon by word of mouth recommendations. We value our customers and realise that our work speaks for itself.
Landscaping a garden combines elements of art and science to create space which is not detached from the home but is a part of it. At Plantation, Exmouth we think about your garden and the colour changes across the year as the seasons progress. We think about combining design and gardening skills with the garden plan, which includes an evaluation of the maintenance work involved. By combining within the garden design 'the person', 'the family' and any special needs we create a garden for both living in and living with and we think it is this that allows Plantation to grow so successfully in Devon and the local Devon areas.
There are many aspects which can be covered when either designing your 'perfect garden' or simply transforming an unused corner.
Devon Landsacpe Gardening expert Thomas Bell, from Plantation Gardening gives a brief explantion of what you should consider when planning your garden.
Planning your garden.
More and more now I am being asked to help to create a usable out door space for my customers. This is fast becoming the most popular objective when planning a new garden.
Everybody has their own special needs when it comes to making their out door space more useful to them and at Plantation Gardening we first listen to your needs before deciding how best we can tailor a garden to meet them.
When looking at a plot you have to ask yourself why it is not satisfactory to you ie. Is the garden sloped or very wet and boggy? Maybe it has just been neglected for a while and is very over grown. Is the garden pleasing to the eye or very out dated and ready for a complete change. When these points have been identified then they can be addressed and the new design can begin to take shape!
Design.
I am a strong believer in keeping my designs simple but effective!
Strong lines, simple contrasts in colours and textures and wherever possible utilising existing features reinforced by using natural materials such timber or stone. Combining these few principles makes a well balanced design become both pleasing to the eye and practical for the people that will ultimately enjoy that space.
